Overview

A business that wants to take cards and stablecoins usually ends up running two vendors: a card processor for most customers and a crypto gateway for the few who ask, each with its own dashboard and its own reconciliation.

SaturnShift's answer is to put both behind one invoice and one pay page. It does not replace the card processor to do it. Cards and ACH still run through Stripe, on an account in the merchant's own name, and SaturnShift charges a platform fee on top.

Who Actually Processes the Payments

The marketing says card and ACH payments are processed by Stripe. The merchant app shows how. During onboarding a business connects a Stripe account so that SaturnShift can process payments on its behalf, the card and ACH checkout loads Stripe against that connected account, and the dashboard notes that card payouts and their schedule are managed by Stripe. SaturnShift's own materials say Stripe onboarding and SaturnShift approval both apply, which matches what the product does.

Three things follow from that structure.

  • Stripe underwrites the card side. If Stripe declines the business or later restricts the account, SaturnShift cannot route the card payments elsewhere. Businesses Stripe treats as prohibited or high risk should not expect a different answer here.
  • Fees stack. Stripe's processing fee is charged first and SaturnShift's platform fee is added to it. Nothing about SaturnShift lowers the Stripe rate.
  • Disputes and payouts are Stripe's. Card chargebacks, dispute fees, reserves and bank payouts follow the Stripe account's terms. SaturnShift's own footer says card and ACH payments are subject to the provider's terms and eligibility requirements.

The stablecoin side is SaturnShift's own. Incoming USDC and USDT payments are watched on-chain through Alchemy and land directly in a payout wallet the merchant registers for each network. A customer without crypto can fund a stablecoin payment by card through a third-party on-ramp, which the disclaimer names as Paybis or other licensed partners.

SaturnShift Pricing and Fees

Each plan has a monthly price and a per-payment platform fee. Stripe's fee comes on top for cards and ACH.

  • Starter, $0 a month: up to 10 invoices a month. Cards 0.35% + $0.10, ACH 0.25% + $0.10, stablecoins 1.00% + $0.10. No QuickBooks sync and no subscriptions.
  • Crypto Suite, $49 a month: stablecoins only, at 0.75% + $0.10. Unlimited invoicing and QuickBooks Online.
  • Full Suite, $69 a month: cards 0.15% + $0.10, ACH 0.05% + $0.10, stablecoins 0.75% + $0.10, plus card subscriptions and QuickBooks Online.

Take a business with $10,000 a month in card payments averaging $200. At the 2.9% + $0.30 Stripe rate SaturnShift quotes for comparison, Stripe takes about $305. Full Suite adds $20 in platform fees and the $69 subscription, so roughly $394 in total. Starter adds $40 in platform fees and no subscription, roughly $345, provided 10 invoices a month is enough. The Full Suite discount only pays for its subscription once card volume passes about $34,500 a month.

Stablecoins work the same way. Crypto Suite saves 0.25 points on every payment against Starter, which covers its $49 fee at about $19,600 a month in stablecoin volume. Below that, and if 10 invoices a month is enough, Starter is cheaper for crypto too.

Paid plans start with a 7-day trial that needs a card on file. The 30-day trial SaturnShift advertises is a referral offer: it applies only to a business new to SaturnShift that signs up through a partner's link or code, and processing fees still apply during it. Partners earn 25% of a referred business's subscription fees and 15% of the platform fees SaturnShift collects, for 12 months.

Stablecoin Settlement

The crypto list is short.

  • USDC: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Polygon.
  • USDT: Ethereum and Base.

Payments settle in kind on the network the customer paid on. Pay in USDT on Base and you receive USDT on Base, at the wallet you registered for Base. There is no bridging, no consolidation across chains and no conversion to dollars, and SaturnShift says plainly that it does not hold the funds. Gas is calculated at checkout and paid by the customer.

That design removes the frozen-balance risk that dominates complaints about custodial crypto processors, and it removes chargebacks on those payments. It also means you hold stablecoins, on up to four networks, until you choose how to turn them into dollars. Bitcoin, Ether and Solana are not accepted.

Who Is SaturnShift Best For?

The product is built around the invoice, and the fit is narrow.

  • US agencies, consultants and B2B service firms billing clients in dollars, some of whom would rather pay in USDC
  • Businesses that reconcile in QuickBooks Online and want card, ACH and stablecoin payments to post against the same invoices
  • Merchants who already pass Stripe's checks and want stablecoins without opening a second gateway account
  • Very small sellers who want a free hosted store and a handful of invoices a month

It is a poor fit for a business that only takes cards, since Stripe direct is cheaper, for anything high risk, for merchants outside the US, and for anyone who needs crypto converted to fiat automatically.

What Is Known About the Company

Not much, and some of it does not line up. The partner terms name SaturnShift Inc., a Delaware corporation. The general terms, last updated April 2026, run to eight short sections with no entity name, no governing law and nothing on fees or billing. The refund policy and disclaimer, from May 2026, describe a non-custodial cryptocurrency service and say nothing about cards. LinkedIn lists the company in Castle Rock, Colorado with two to ten staff, and a SaaSHub profile names the founder as Bertrand Azzopardi, who also writes the company's posts on DEV Community. We found no Colorado registration for a SaturnShift entity in the state's public business data.

The domain was registered in August 2025 behind a privacy proxy. The WooCommerce plugin was added to WordPress.org in August 2026 and shows fewer than 10 active installs. No PCI attestation of its own is published; card details are entered into Stripe's fields. Support runs through hello@ and support@ addresses.

None of that is disqualifying for software that never holds the money: the card funds sit with Stripe and the stablecoins go to your wallet. It does mean that uptime, support and the company's survival are unproven, and the invoice data you put into it lives with a business nobody has independently reviewed.

Pros

  • One invoice, payment link or checkout can be paid by card, ACH, USDC or USDT, and the payments, fees and refunds sync to QuickBooks Online on the paid plans
  • Stablecoins settle non-custodially and in kind to a wallet you register per network, so SaturnShift never holds that money, and gas is added to the customer's total rather than taken from yours
  • Pricing is published to the cent on every plan, and the company's own Stripe comparison admits that on cards alone it costs more than going to Stripe directly

Cons

  • A software layer on Stripe Connect rather than a processor: you pay Stripe's card and ACH fees plus SaturnShift's, and Stripe's underwriting, holds and payout schedule still govern the card side
  • Stablecoins are never converted to dollars, and only USDC and USDT on four EVM networks are accepted, so a business that wants USD in the bank needs its own off-ramp
  • Very young and thinly documented: the legal entity is named only in the partner terms, the general terms omit governing law, support is by email, and no independent review exists on any platform

Frequently asked questions

Is SaturnShift a payment processor?
Not in the underwriting sense. SaturnShift is software that sits on Stripe Connect. Each merchant's card and ACH payments run through a Stripe account in the merchant's name, Stripe decides whether that account is approved, and Stripe handles card disputes and bank payouts. SaturnShift runs the invoices, payment links, hosted pay page and dashboard, adds its own approval step, and charges a platform fee per payment. For stablecoins it does the payment monitoring itself, with the money landing in the merchant's own wallet.
How much does SaturnShift cost?
Starter is $0 a month with up to 10 invoices a month, Crypto Suite is $49 a month for stablecoins only, and Full Suite is $69 a month for cards, ACH and stablecoins. Platform fees run from 0.15% + $0.10 on cards on Full Suite to 1.00% + $0.10 on stablecoins on Starter. Stripe's own processing fee is charged on top of every card and ACH payment, so on Full Suite a card payment at Stripe's standard 2.9% + $0.30 costs about 3.05% + $0.40 before the subscription. Customers pay blockchain gas on stablecoin payments.
Does SaturnShift offer a free trial?
Paid plans come with a 7-day trial that requires a card on file, and Starter is free with no trial needed. SaturnShift also advertises a 30-day trial, but only for a business new to SaturnShift that signs up through a partner's referral link or code. It covers the first paid subscription only, one per business, and processing fees still apply during it.
Can SaturnShift convert USDC or USDT to dollars?
No. Stablecoins settle in kind on the network the customer used, to the payout wallet you registered for that network, and SaturnShift does not convert them. Card and ACH payments do reach your bank in dollars, through Stripe. If you want crypto revenue in a bank account automatically, a custodial gateway such as BitPay will convert and pay out to a bank, which SaturnShift will not.
Can a high-risk business use SaturnShift?
Not for cards. Card and ACH acceptance depends on Stripe approving the merchant's connected account, and the partner materials state that card and ACH payments are subject to Stripe's requirements. A business that Stripe will not take, or one that has already been closed by Stripe, should not expect SaturnShift to get it through. The stablecoin-only Crypto Suite still requires SaturnShift's own approval.
